Angling

Our beach Catching your own fish during your camping holiday is both fun and exciting. From the beach next to Vejlby Fed Strand Camping lies Båring Vig’s best fishing spot. If you walk to the beach and start fishing 200 metres to the north, you’ll fish in a channel, also known as a “bathtub”, where both sea trout and garfish can be caught. At low tide, it’s worth using waders to get to the second reef. From there you cast further out, into the deeper and more current-filled water, where the fish often are.

Note: Remember to wade back to shore when the water starts to rise.

When fishing along the beach next to the campsite, it is important to be aware of the existing conservation belts. The neighbouring rivers, which have their outlets at the beach, are covered by two different ones. A year-round and a half-year conservation belt. Try catching a flounder, plaice or turbot from the beach. Here you should fish along the parts of it where there is a clean sandy bottom.

You can catch fish from the campsite’s beach throughout the season.

Strib Lighthouse and Strib North Beach If you drive to Strib Lighthouse and the north beach, a short 13-minute drive from the campsite, you can catch mackerel, garfish, flatfish and sea trout. Along this exciting fishing spot you can walk from the beach and fish.

Summer months are preferable.

You can catch fish in both directions from the car park.
